100ish

100 words about nothing — and everything.

I made $20.35 on the internet in September 2026

I’ve tried to make money over the years online and for while there I had been successful but times and markets change and I’m starting over again.

This started in earnest when I realized that I could have AI make me a new site in an afternoon and I got addicted to the kool-aid of the shiny and new and my hosting and domain costs reflected that.

At site 22 and about four months later I realized I had created a job and nobody wanted to have read AI slop, as fun as it was to create the site and I was bleeding $100-ish a month.

Thus, 100ish was born.

This is my playground to see if I can find $100 a day somehow. or see if I can post 100 posts, or whatever you want to count. $100 a day is the monetary goal but not the goal. The goal is to satisfy my curiosity and see where it takes me.

In just the few short weeks I have written here (and a few other spots) I managed to make $20.35 total online for September 2026.

Not much, but for the first time in a a long time my make money online experiment is actually profiting because as it stands my costs are pretty low - about five bucks a month for hosting costs mostly.

The money is secondary - what’s fun is seeing where this will take me.

A new job? A new website? A cup of coffee? A new friend?

Your guess is as good as mine as I have no idea. If you want to support this silly little project you can shop on Amazon where I get a small commission, or you can buy me my first cup of coffee.

Or, just say hi - contact info is below.

Let’s see what October brings,

Jim
